The family is first.
Urban Meyer’s disastrous NFL debut season came to a predictable but possibly premature end Thursday, following an incendiary report that Meyer kicked a Jaguars player during preseason (among many other things to come this season ).
While he might be public enemy number one in Jacksonville, he at least has one supporter: Meyer’s daughter Gisela chimed in on Instagram after the firing, offering an unsurprising (and fairly unchanging) defense of her father, casting some shadow. to the media in the process:
The enemy (aka the world) REALLY doesn’t want good people to win.
And you can argue if my dad is a “good person” or not based on what you see in the media.
(super reliable source of information as we know it)
Anyone who really knows us knows how amazing he is as a person.
And the world hates any platform we have, so it will create chaos to destroy it.
Little does he know that he is making him stronger.
It has not finished. Keep watching.
His father’s support comes in the wake of a report that Meyer had kicked former Jags kicker Josh Lambo during the preseason, and an allegation that was made public Wednesday. Lambo’s account of the events may have been the last straw for the jaguar.
In all, Meyer was just 2-11 with Jacksonville in his first year in the NFL, but the record doesn’t tell the story of the myriad controversies, sound bites and memorable moments that led to his firing, even before the Lambo. history.
Meyer reportedly had a cool relationship with “all three levels” of the organization – players, coaches, staff – and various reports in recent weeks painted a picture of complete and total dysfunction in the midst of a lost season for the Jaguars.
Now, Meyer has plenty of time to spend with his family during the Christmas season.
