Nick Bosa injury update: 49ers defensive end out vs. Cowboys with concussion

The 49ers will be without their best defensive player for the rest of their wild-card matchup against the Cowboys.

Nick Bosa was ruled out for the second half of the game in Arlington, Texas, after colliding with defensive tackle DJ Jones in the second quarter. The team said he had a concussion. Jones was slow to get up after the collision.

Bosa and defensive end Jordan Willis were trying to get to Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott for a sack, but neither could reach him before he got rid of the ball. Willis also left the game after that play with an ankle injury, but later returned.

At the time of Bosa’s injury, he had three tackles, half a sack and a quarterback hit. The 49ers entered halftime winning 16-7.
