NFL Week 16 coverage map: TV schedule for CBS, Fox regional broadcasts

Week 16 is another week that brings a lot of action from the NFL. There’s another 16-game roster that includes the last game of the year “Thursday Night Football,” two Christmas Day games on Saturday, and another crowded NFL Sunday game.

We’re scheduled to have an 11-game roster on Sunday in Week 16. We’ll see if that actually happens, as last week’s 11-game roster was down to nine after a couple of COVID-related postponements, but that’s at least what the NFL has currently planned.

CBS will get most of the action in Week 16, as this time they have the broadcast rights to the doubleheader. CBS will focus on a couple of key AFC games – the Bills at the Patriots and the Steelers at the Chiefs – in the 1 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET windows respectively. Those will be the biggest audience boosters, with the Bills-Patriots game potentially playing a big role in the AFC East’s decision being the main matchup.

As for Fox, its coverage will be largely regionalized, but two games are running slightly longer than the others. The Giants-Eagles and Rams-Vikings games will comprise the majority of Fox’s audience, while three other games will be combined and shown in smaller parts of the rest of the country.

Below are the complete maps of NFL coverage for Week 16, plus a list of the major television markets and the CBS and Fox games that will be featured in each on Sunday.

TV schedule for NFL Week 16 games

Below are the Sunday afternoon games that will be broadcast regionally. “Sunday Night Football” will feature a rivalry game between the Cowboys and Washington. The Cowboys will have a chance to officially wrap up the NFC East with a victory, while Washington will look to play the spoiler and get back in the race for the playoffs.

“Monday Night Football” will feature an interesting competition between the Dolphins and the Saints. New Orleans has home-court advantage and excellent defense, but can they move the ball in a Miami defense that is strong in its own right? It could be a defensive battle between the two, 7-7 teams looking to sneak into the playoffs image.
