NFL DFS Picks Week 15: Best sleepers, value players for DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy football lineups

Week 15 starts on Thursday, and so (as is Carrie Bradshaw for my part), we’re over 75 percent of the way through a wild and wacky season. The playoff race is heating up significantly, and that’s when the real stars shine and the rags fall on their faces. It’s also when value sleepers intensify in the wake of injuries (and COVID). Now is the time when you can really reward yourself by doing the necessary research on DFS contests on FanDuel and DraftKings, especially since more people are playing fantasy football on a daily basis after being eliminated from their leagues for the entire season.

We exist to help you identify high value DFS sleepers and picks each week. The more value players you add, the more money you have left over for weekly tests verified elsewhere on the list.

If you read this column last week, you would have benefited from our advice to include a host of low-cost, high-value players in your Week 14 DFS lineups. Here’s a healthy list of our hits from last Sunday, including the DraftKings cost of each player and the final result of the PPR:

  • Baker Mayfield, Browns vs. Ravens (DK: $ 5,200 | FD: $ 6,500): 19 Fantasy points
  • Javonte Williams, Broncos vs. Lions (DK: $ 5,900 | FD: $ 6,700): 21.3
  • Tee Higgins, Bengals vs. 49ers (DK: $ 6,400 | FD: $ 6,800): 16.4
  • Jarvis Landry, Browns vs Ravens (DK: $ 5,400 | FD: $ 6,400): 15.1
  • DJ Moore, Panthers vs. Falcons (DK: $ 6,200 | FD: $ 6,800): 14.4
  • Dawson Knox, Bills at Buccaneers (DK: $ 5,000 | FD: $ 6,000): 19.0
  • Gerald Everett, Seahawks at Texans (DK: 3,500 | FD: $ 4,800): 10.8

That’s a neat list of seven high-value, low-cost position players. Collectively, over the past two weeks, we’ve enjoyed an average of 18.6 points from 14 position player hits, all for an average of just over $ 5,300 each. If you started with any of these affordable players, chances are you saved enough salary to improve a position or two places considerably.

Getting the most for your money has always been the name of the game at DFS, so it’s important to do your due diligence before building lineups. Leave the deep dive in our hands – we’re here for you, from the first kickoff to the last play of the 2021 NFL season. Now let’s take some of our momentum and make more money!

NFL DFS Picks Week 15: Sleeping QBs, DraftKings Values, FanDuel

The last time we saw Hurts, he suffered an ankle injury in Philadelphia’s Week 12 loss to the Giants, but he is expected to be fully healthy for this game. That’s great news for Eagles fans, and it’s great news for DFS opportunists who will relish the opportunity to grab the RPO specialist for $ 6,600. Hurts scored 30.78 points in his last complete game, a 40-29 victory over New Orleans, and has recorded at least 55 rushing yards in six straight games. If you want a running back who can throw the ball too, for less than $ 7,000, get Hurts here. No team has handed over more fantasy points to quarterbacks than WFT this season.

People assume Jimmy G is a fantasy bad play because he’s a dink-and-dunker, but he’s actually been remarkably consistent this season despite countless injuries to San Fran’s offensive core. He scored 20.14 fantasy points in a win over Cincinnati last week after putting together his second straight game of 296 yards and two touchdowns. He now has a home battle against the Falcons, who bleed points to quarterbacks. Only the aforementioned WFT has allowed more fantasy points to the position this season.

Big Ben looked like a dumpster in the first half of Pittsburgh’s Week 14 game at Minnesota, but he looked like an All-Pro in the second half. It seems the reports of his arm dying have been greatly exaggerated, or perhaps he contacted Frank Thomas and ran into Nugenix. Who knows (and who cares?) How this late-season revival got started; all that matters is the fact that he just scored 28.82 fantasy points, and the Steelers have a chance to clinch a wild-card spot before the end of the season. . I think you could do a lot worse than Big Ben for $ 5,600 against the Titans, who rank 26th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks.

NFL DFS Week 15 Picks: RB Sleepers, DraftKings Values, FanDuel

Williams has been one of the hottest rookies in the second half of the season and he’s spent a lot of time making this list. What can we say? It has a value below $ 7,000. He showed last week that he has the confidence and ability to deliver bell results, even in a timeshare with veteran Melvin Gordon. Denver prioritizes running as much as Cleveland has in recent seasons, which is why the Broncos’ two running backs are good plays against a front seven from the soft Bengals. The Bengals are ranked 22nd in points allowed to running backs this season, Williams has scored four times in the last three weeks and is averaging 24.7 PPR points in that span. The rookie stallion will be “my boy” the rest of the way.

Conner makes this list regardless of teammate Cardinal Chase Edmonds (ankle) status. He is the NFC leader in rushing touchdowns, and he reinforced his lead by adding two more in front of a prime-time audience Monday despite a difficult divisional tilt with the Rams. Conner now has 14 total touchdowns in 13 weeks (the Bucs’ Leonard Fournette is second in the NFC with eight touchdowns – good luck closing that gap, Lenny!). The fifth-year puncher now has a date with Detroit, the fourth-most generous defense of running backs in fantasy. Hell, he would probably play Edmonds for $ 5,100 if he finally triggered off the IR. But as long as Conner’s ankle injury doesn’t keep him out, it’s obvious whether he gets 15 touches or 25.

Admittedly this is the most volatile of my RB picks this week. Robinson has fallen victim to the senseless and absurd training tactics of Urban Meyer, who somehow thought it was a good idea to give his talented sophomore single-digit touches in the past two weeks. Well, I guess Jacksonville interim general manager Trent Baalke and maybe even franchise owner Shahid Khan will tell Meyer to get his head out of his keister and give J-Rob the stone this week. The Texans rank 27th against the RBs in fantasy points allowed this season, so if not now, when? Robinson is averaging a healthy 4.8 yards per carry this season, and he has seven total TDs. He’s ready and capable, and it’s a good bet to finally see some volume if he’s risk-free / rewarding.

NFL DFS Picks Week 15: WR sleepers, values for DraftKings, FanDuel

Cooks is a stud. The veteran catcher produces year after year, even if he has Tyrod Taylor or Davis Mills throwing the ball for him. Last week against Seattle, Cooks caught eight of 11 Mills targets for 101 yards, the third time he broke the century mark this season. One of those games came in Week 1 against the Jags, whom he burned for 132 yards. Jacksonville ranks 26th in PPR points allowed to receivers, so fire up Cooks one more time.

OBJ has touchdowns in three straight games like Ram, and he also racked up a 25-yard gain in three straight games. His biggest game, by far, was Monday night against the division rivals Cardinals. The veteran caught six of seven goals for 77 yards and a touchdown, playing an integral role in a massive 30-23 victory. Beckham has clearly developed a good relationship with LA caller Matthew Stafford, and the results should continue as the playoff chase intensifies. Seattle just allowed Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins to combine for 13 receptions and 170 yards, so I think Cooper Kupp and OBJ can thrive in their second straight division battle. Beckham Jr. is currently on the reserve / COVID-19 list, so make sure he’s active.

Extreme value alert! With wide receiver Corey Davis (core) set for the season and rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore (quad) out until Week 17, Berrios took the lead last week against New Orleans. The third-year sprinter caught six of 10 goals for 52 yards, saving New York rookie quarterback Zach Wilson. Berríos keeps moving until it opens, and is always a threat to loosen once he has the ball in his hands. If you’ve got a great team with just $ 3,200- $ 3,500 in your wallet (or $ 5,300- $ 5,700 in FD), grab BB for the upside game. Miami has yielded more PPR points to receivers than 29 other defenders this season.

Knox is clearly back to greatness, and he’s also returned to this column for the second week in a row. The burly tight end caught seven of nine goals for 60 yards and a touchdown against Tampa Bay on Sunday, and now faces a Panthers squad that similarly allowed rookie Kyle Pitts to land five receptions for 61 yards. Knox’s cost has only gone up $ 100 from last week, so I’m shopping again. Be the Walter White of your DFS contests, be the Knox.

The last time we saw Gesicki, he had caught seven of 11 goals for 46 yards in a 20-9 Week 13 win over the Giants. You are now fresh off a goodbye, rested, and ready to grill the other Big City squad at home. The Jets rank 26th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed at tight end. Down with Gesickiness (I know, that was wrong).

The Bills have outstanding defense, and the Super Bowl-competing Pats and Bucs have overshadowed them in the past two weeks. Well, Carolina is a gigantic step away from those squads on the competition ladder, and Orchard Park in December is a tough place for a beaten Carolina squad to play. Cam Newton and PJ Walker (and Sam Darnold, if he’s back) make a lot of mistakes, so grab Buffalo while the price is still in the lower $ 3,000.
