Fantasy PPR, Standard TE Rankings Week 18: Who to start, sit at tight end in fantasy football

There is a small percentage of leagues still competing this week, so as always, these Week 18 TE fantasy rankings are here to help decide who to start as a tight end in PPR and standard leagues. For those of you who are done with the traditional fantasy league for the season, these rankings can help you identify the value under the radar at DFS. As always, some teams have nothing to play for in the final week of the regular season because they are already waiting for their offseason plans or locked in a playoff seed. With that said, we could see some changes to these rankings later in the week, so stay tuned.

Stud TEs Travis Kelce (@ Broncos), Mark Andrews (vs Steelers) and Rob Gronkowski (vs Panthers) are ready to take on some of the fiercest teams against TEs, but we know their soaring lead makes them impossible to bench. . .

What really matters is the players in the starting or sitting bubble, and we think you can call on Foster Moreau (against Chargers) if Darren Waller (knee) stays out, CJ Uzomah (@ Browns), Jared Cook (@ Raiders) and James O’Shaugnessy (against Colts). Moreau and Cook are getting two of the three most favorable tight end matchups, and we think Moreau, in particular, has a real advantage at TE1. Cook is spot on, but the showdown is strong, so this Chargers-Raiders showdown should be fun for the position.

Uzomah is on the rise or fall and hasn’t delivered in a while, but the Browns are a slightly favorable matchup for the TEs. Given that they are strong against wide receivers and Joe Burrow is playing like an elite quarterback, this could finally be another great week for Uzomah. O’Shaugnessy is more at risk if Dan Arnold (against the Colts) is completely healthy, but at the end of the day, both could be considered in the PPR leagues in a top-three showdown for the TEs.

On the flip side, we can lower expectations for Hunter Henry (@ Dolphins), Mike Gesicki (vs. Patriots), Tyler Higbee (vs. 49ers), Cole Kmet (@ Vikings) and Tyler Conklin (vs. Bears). These guys are ready to be in worrisome tight end matchups, and none of them really have safe floors in either format. At one point, it looked like Gesicki would join the elite class of TEs, especially in the PPR leagues, but his lack of production in the second half of the season makes him fit for the bench. Of course, it could still be a better option than some of the streamer-level guys like Uzomah or Cook, but its floor is just as low.

We also have to keep in mind that Mo Alie-Cox (@ Jaguars), Austin Hooper (against Bengals) and David Njoku (against Bengals) are in favorable matchups, but their floors are even lower than the boys in tough matches. At tight end, matchups carry a lot of weight, but at a certain point in the standings, the player’s overall perspective and past production matter when comparing starting or seating options, so we don’t believe much in these three. types. .

In Week 18, we will have to deal with the uncertainty of which teams are the players who will actually “try” 100 percent in their games and as usual the reserve / COVID roster could call their best TE at any time. . . Be prepared for anything and, again, check back for the latest updates.

We will update these TE rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement.
